Position: Assistant General Manager Location: Folsom, CA Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant General Manager to join our team at Cantina Pedregal. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader with a passion for hospitality, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude. As the Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, uphold quality standards, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities: Assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory control. Supervise and support front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth service and adherence to quality and cleanliness standards. Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service and maximize performance. Assist in developing and implementing operational procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and productivity. Monitor and analyze sales, labor, and expense reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing waste and loss. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations to provide a safe and clean dining environment for guests and staff. Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute marketing and promotional initiatives to drive sales and increase revenue. Support the General Manager in administrative tasks, such as payroll processing, budgeting, and reporting. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant industry. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively motivate and inspire a diverse team. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Proficient computer skills, including experience with POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and customer relations. Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. California RBS (TiPS) certification ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
